Contra Dance Omaha
with Scandinavian dance preceding each contra dance at 6:30

Third Saturday of each month at Seymour Elementary School, 4900 S. 79th Street in Ralston.

Directions:
From L Street and 77th Avenue in Omaha (the stoplight by Runza), go south to the stop sign at Seymour Street.  Turn right and go 3 blocks to 79th Street.  Enter at the back door of the school toward the end of the parking lot.

 
The Scandinavian dance before each contra concentrates on "bygdedans." "Bygdedans" refers to the oldest surviving folk dances from Scandinavia, some surviving in unbroken tradition from the Middle Ages to today.
Scandinavian happens from 6:30-7:30 p.m.; contra dance starts at 7:30 with live music by Rivertown String Band and friends!

Come and dance to great live music every third Saturday of the month from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm in Omaha, Nebraska!

Singles & new dancers are welcome. All dances are taught or walked through beforehand!

Please wear soft-soled, non-scuffing shoes.

Cost is $5 per person, students half price, children under 12 free if supervised by parent!
